David W. Huesser

David Huesser is an experienced C-Suite Shopping Center Executive, CSM designation through ICSC, as well as a past board member at NYNJ Council of Shopping Centers, and now board member of the MECS+R and speaker at ICSC and MECS+R.

David relocated to the GCC with Al Futtaim, as Director of Asset Management in 2018, David oversaw all aspects of real estate, including asset management, development, leasing, marketing, HR, and finance. In addition, David also launching PLEX Asset Management, a 3rd party management company.  After Al Futtaim David has been consulting for mall operators and retailers throughout the region.

In 2023 David partnered with The Outlet Resource Group (TORG) developing outlet malls throughout the GCC and creating a management services company to manage and develop commercial real estate throughout the GCC as well advising landlords & retailers on technology initiatives throughout their business.

David’s North American career began in Canada with Frum Development and RioCan REIT, and in the USA with Urban Retail, GGP, Simon Property Group and Brookfield.  David’s experience includes Regional VP roles in Toronto, Canada, Property Director Roles in Cleveland, Ohio, Chicago, IL and New York, NY leading Asset Management, Leasing, Marketing and Development Teams, creating strong EBITDA Growth.  

Throughout David’s career he was instrumental in redeveloping Orland Sq Mall in Chicago, The Westchester Mall in White Plains, NY, and Brookfield Place, NYC. David brings an extensive amount of expertise in asset management, real estate development, leasing strategies, leasing, market analysis, branding and marketing of assets throughout the life cycle of the project.
